Personality: Every member of the mysterious Organization XIII has a moniker, a catchy little title to go along with her powers. Most of them are bullshit and make no sense. However, Larxene’s, “the Savage Nymph”, is extremely accurate and relevant. The only female member of the shadowy group, Larxene is no less powerful and motivated than her coworkers, and her speed and relentless strikes in battle are to be feared.
Larxene is shown to be a sadistic, cruel woman, who enjoys nothing more than tearing people down with her sharp and painful words. Nobodies, as a rule, do not experience emotion the same way that complete people do, and Larxene seems to have tried to make up the difference with sheer, unadulterated cruelty. She is rarely seen wearing anything but a smile, and she's quite good at making jokes... but her smiles are for the pain of others, and her humor is always mean-spirited. Dramatic, Larxene is prone to sweeping hand gestures and over the top language, as well as childish behavior and immaturity. She rarely shows any kind of empathy for anyone, and is almost completely out for number one. She takes great delight in needling and pushing people to their breaking points, laughing when they show anger towards her. She tends to think very highly of herself, and much less of others.
While she maintains her cheerfully ruthless demeanor most of the time, enough insults and set-backs get her to show her true colors. Actually, it doesn't take a whole lot; her temper is remarkably short and her retribution for transgressions, real or perceived, is swift. It is also well known that she dislikes children, regularly referring to Sora and his cohorts as "brats", and resenting being made to play "nanny" to Roxas. Larxene is also quite perceptive; she and Marluxia were among the first in the Organization to suspect Xemnas of having ulterior motives, leading to their plans for a coup.
It is rare that Larxene sees people as anything other than tools. She is willing to go through anyone and use any means necessary to get what she wants. However, in the games, she does seem to have some genuinely pleasant feelings for Axel and Marluxia. She speaks flirtatiously with Axel, and is very disappointed and almost bitter when she discovers his betrayal.
It is implied through the novels, however, that she was not always this way. She mentions that, unlike many of the other Nobodies, she has no desire to regain her heart. She says that having a heart is painful, and it's not an experience she wishes to repeat. It can be surmised that much of her cruelty and anger come from being injured in the past, and the desire to never be hurt in such a way again. It is also known, through the examples of the other Nobodies that regain their hearts, that the "Nobody" version of someone exemplifies all their worst traits, completely unfettered by things like morals and empathy. Unfortunately, this is all we know of her past, so her more complete personality will have to be headcanoned.
Upon arrival in Ryslig, Larxene will once again be a complete human, heart and all, whether she likes it or not. As such, I will be playing her a bit differently than exact canon would dictate, using the existing Nobody-Somebody pairs as a general guide. Larxene will still be immature and dramatic, despite returning to a normal range of emotion. Her sadism and cruelty will take a slight hit, though only in respect to those she knows and likes. Those she dislikes? Will still get every ounce of her ire. To those she considers friends or allies, she'll still be deprecating, but in a more playful, silly way. Her first weeks in Ryslig will be spent trying to control her moods and prevent emotional overload, like a person gone blind suddenly granted sight. In short, her behavior will still be as shown in canon, but tempered with the positive emotions granted by being whole. Rest assured, having a heart will not instantly make her a kind and understanding soul; she's still a jerk who doesn't like getting close to people, and always will be. For a while she will fall back on the stereotypical, habitual behaviors she used as a Nobody. As she grows used to her completed self, she will become more well-rounded and less a caricature of a few basic traits, as Nobodies are wont to be.
But nothing will ever stop her from being the Alpha Bitch.
